Bumble and Bumble Backstage

I wanted to share with you Bumble and bumble’s extensive work backstage at New York and London Fashion Week. In New York , we supported more than 30 designers, from emerging talent like Ohne Titel (CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists) to the highest level of established fashion houses such as Vera Wang. In London , where many experimental fashion designers make their mark, we supported 11 shows, including British fashion legend Burberry.

Below you’ll find the list of designers we worked with, including a selection of links to their fashion shows on Style.com so you can see the full collections. These are the looks (along with hair styles created with the Bumble and bumble team and products) that will be driving the trends this Spring.

Stay tuned for more news from Paris when the shows conclude next week!

Brittney Major's Collection hits the NYC Fashion Week Runway

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Day 3:

Brittney Major also turned to the mid-century housewife, speaking to her southern roots by creating a line of silk plaid taffeta ensembles. A housewife-meets-unconventional preppy look, she tells CH "I took more of my inspiration from my own experience living in the South and kind of the style that people dressed down there. I love the silhouette and I wanted to bring together a collection that was fun and sophisticated." The gorgeous cuts and ruffles revealed the designers technical skills, resulting in the most wearable collection of the show.

*Brittney Major(far left in photo) is a new and rising wardrobe designer from Winston-Salem. She recently graduated from fashion school in San Fransisco, CA and is moving to NYC. Last summer she worked with Zac Posen and now hopes to land a job with Oscar de la Renta...I'm proud of her and proud to say that she is one of my most loyal clients. Congrats Brittney on your success! I'll see you in NYC!*

Michael Jackson Tribute

If you know me, you know that I think Michael Jackson is by far the best entertainer there has ever been. His tribute at the VMAs was incredible. Phenomenal dancers took the stage and danced in sync with him through video....amazing....Janet Jackson closed it out with "Scream" also one of my favorite songs....

Just watch and see:) Chills every time I watch it.

Celebrity Week

It must be celebrity week...

Amy's client, Dino Gaudio, WFU basketball coach came in for a haircut. He's so easy going and will give anyone an autograph. He'll even sign a kid's shoes!

Jill Wagner is in town....We got sushi at the amazing OC....Look for her on Mercury commercials and WipeOUT game show...

Wednesday Style Tip of the week: Ladies ( and some gentlemen), if you have uncontrollable cowlicks, blow dry hair in opposite direction to create a natural looking hairline...works best with Bb Styling Lotion.

First day in "Blog World"

For those of you who don't know, Stella Blu is a hair salon that my friends and I opened and are currently running. Talk about a learning experience!! whooo...what better way to learn than just jumping right on in!!...So how did we settle on the name Stella Blu? We all loved the name Stella and there is also an old Grateful Dead song by that name...kinda funny since we're not "DeadHeads"....random, I know...Just didn't want a cheesy, generic name.

We are Bumble and Bumble exclusive, based straight out of New York. Shannon(stylist) and I are going to NY in 2 weeks for business training under Bumble....Counting down the days til I can feel the mad adrenaline rush of the city along with the smell of hairspray and fall fashion in the air!!:):)

I'll get the hang of blogging random salon moments....Cheers to the first day Blogging!
